The Mozart Requiem rehearsal tracks are for your use in learning/rehearsing your part. They are created on a synthesizer (not by a singer). Your part tracks emphasize your part but you can still hear the accompaniment and the other vocal parts. These rehearsal tracks will work best if you read along in your score as you are listening. The full recording tracks are a recording of choir and symphony singing the Requiem.
Each track is named as follows: page number - title of movement - vocal part
The page numbers correspond to page numbers in your choral score. The Tuba mirum movement is for SATB soloists and is only provided as a concert recording. Other solos are included as they occur in the score.
The full recording is available for free on iTunes in the iTunes U section. It is a recording by the Duke Chapel Choir from a February 11, 2006 performance with the NC School of the Arts Orchestra in memory of James Semans.
The rehearsal tracks are also available from Choralia at http://www.Choralia.net. Choralia works in conjunction with the Choral Public Domain Library to make public domain music available on the web. If you are interested, there are also rehearsal tracks on this website which play only one voice part and no accompaniment (only the Soprano line or only the Alto line, etc.). The copyright notice for the rehearsal tracks is available at http://www.choralia.net/notice.htm.
CDs are available by vocal part in the music office. You can also request a CD from Cathy Kolar.
