  1. Why do you think Peter asks his question of Jesus about forgiveness?

  2. What does the number seven signify in the Bible?

  3. How would you summarize the message of Jesus’ parable?

  4. Do you think there is anything that should not be forgiven?

  5. What can we do if someone has hurt us but they are not repentant or do not take responsibility?

  6. Who is help most when we forgive someone?

  7. Have you seen someone’s refusal to forgive hurt the person who will not forgive? When?

  8. Is it possible to forgive too quickly or too easily? Why or why not?

  9. Some people believe forgiving is the same as forgetting and others think that when we forgive we should always also remember what was done so it could not happen again. What do you think?

  10. Pick a quotation from the quote sheet on Forgiveness that speaks most to you today and talk about that quote with someone this week.

  11. What is the area of your life where you need to forgive someone or forgive yourself? Where is the area of your life where you need to receive or ask someone for forgiveness? What will you do about this?
