on Being True to Who You Are ~ by Harvey Martz

  1. What or whom would you be willing to die for?

  2. Have you ever left a job or not accepted a job offer because it did not feel like the right thing for you?  What can you learn from that experience about being true to who you are?

  3. When have you felt “out of step” with others?  In contrast, when have you felt like you were really with the right crowd or living your authentic values? (felt like you were in sync)

  4. What are your core values/core principles that you try to live by and are not willing to compromise?

  5. When have you felt you were asked to compromise those values and how did that feel?

  6. What is a good day for you?

  7. When have you recently felt joy?

  8. What makes you feel disappointed?

  9. What are you afraid of?

  10. What would you NOT be willing to do to succeed (by your definition of success)?

  11. When President Lincoln referred to “the better angels of nature”, what do you think that means?  What are the better angels of our nature?
